Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), October 24 (EFE).- The trade union section of the CSIF in the health district of Jerez, Costa and Sierra de Cádiz has condemned this Tuesday the lack of radiology technicians to carry out the screening of breast cancer.
As announced by the trade union organization, since the beginning of October there has been only one technician available in the morning hours, as the technician who came three afternoons a week has been dismissed, so appointments are being cancelled.
For CSIF, it is “highly commendable” that the Andalusian health service provides updated and modern machinery, but believes that it is “absurd” that it takes place “without professionals.”
The union demands that SAS, as well as providing material resources, approves the necessary contracts to be able to use them and considers it necessary to offer appropriate training to professionals to catch up with the handling of this new machinery. EFE
