India A will take on Nepal in the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup today (Monday, July 17 2023) — watch the live stream of the match, along with TV channels and live streaming details.
This will be India’s second match in the competition, which is being held in Sri Lanka. India’s first match of the Emerging Men’s Asia Cup was on July 14 against the United Arab Emirates. After restricting the opposition to 175-9, India easily chased down the target in 26.3 overs with eight wickets to spare. Harshit Rana was the star with the ball, taking 4-41 in nine overs, while a century from captain Yash Dhull ensured an easy win after India lost their openers early.
The Indian team features players such as Sai Sudharsan, Abhishek Sharma, Dhull and Riyan Parag, with Dhruv Jurel, who impressed in this year’s Indian Premier League as the side’s wicketkeeper. Prabhsmiran Singh, who also had a breakthrough season with IPL team Punjab Kings, and Rajvardhan Hangargekar are the other names who have made the squad.
Nepal, on the other hand, will enter the match following a loss to Pakistan A. Nepal were bowled out for 179 in 37 overs, with Shahnawaz Dahani taking a five-wicket haul, finishing with figures of 5-38 in his ten overs. The target proved to be difficult for Pakistan, who lost six wickets in their attempt to overhaul Nepal’s total.
Eight teams are divided into two groups in the tournament, with each team playing three league matches. The top two teams from each group will then advance to the semi-finals, with the final on July 23.
