Megamarch in South India ratifies support for Palestine

The demonstration, which took place at the Kozhikode beach, was led by IUML national general secretary PK Kunhalikutty; the president of the Muslim state, Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal and the deputy Shashi Tharoor as the chief guest, highlighted the local newspaper Mathrubhumi.

Before the impressive crowd, Thangal stated that Israel represents global terrorism and anyone who supports it is complicit in its atrocities.

He highlighted the resistance of the Palestinian people, who will continue a protracted struggle until they achieve their freedom, he noted.

On his part, IUML State Leader Salam assured that the majority of the people of India unflinchingly support Palestine.

Likewise, Kunhalikutty expressed his hope that the fervent prayers of the oppressed Palestinians will one day be answered.

On the other hand, it was learned that a company in Kerala terminated a long-standing contract to manufacture uniforms for the Israeli police as a moral decision in the face of Israel’s increasing siege of the Occupied Territories.

Since the start of Israeli bombings against civilians 20 days ago, 6,955 Palestinians have already died and more than 19,000 have been injured, most of them in the Gaza Strip.

According to the latest health report, 6,850 lost their lives in the Gaza Strip and 105 in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 70 percent of those killed are minors, the elderly and women.
