Madrid, October 24 (EFE).- The government pact concluded this Tuesday between the PSOE and Sumar proposes to extend the free commuter transport and medium-distance bonuses that have been in force since September 2022 to the whole of 2024.

The proposal presented by the leaders of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez and Sumar, Yolanda Díaz, includes converting this bonus measure into a “permanent policy for certain groups”, with co-financing from the autonomous communities and the local administration.

Local and medium-distance transport by train is 100% subsidized from September 2022, to try to compensate for the sharp increase in inflation that occurred after the start of the war in Ukraine. In the same package, a 50% bonus on Avant and Alvia trains was approved for frequent travelers. EFE
