Semicon India 2023 Live | Sanjay Mehrotra gives an overview of the Gujarat plant

Micron’s Gujarat plant will have: 

-Phased construction. First phase to begin later this year of 500,000 square feet. Will be operational in late 2024. Will increase manufacturing over time.

-Second phase will be of similar scale in the second half of the decade. 

-Micron plans to invest $825 million over the two phases

-Combined investment by Micron and Central and state governments over the two phases could reach up to $2.75 billion. The government will help fund the project and facilitate access to essential semiconductor resources. This then will drive innovation and enhance local talent development, says Micron President and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra
